Example: For articles on "lichens in California", key in: lichen# california (the truncation symbol in CDL databases is "#").
1. Before printing, purchase a print card from the machines just inside the entrance to the Biomedical Library. Only cards purchased for UCLA printers and copiers will work. Follow instructions for purchasing and/or adding value to the card.
2. Be sure to check your computer workstation to find out which printer you will be using, Printer 1 or Printer 2. Also read the printing instructions posted at the workstation.
3. To select one or multiple items for printing from the search-results list, mark each chosen article by clicking in the small box following the citation.
4. Click the PRINT option following the list of BIOSIS Previews citations. Follow onscreen instructions.
5. You might have to make up an identifier and a password for each print job you send to the printer. (Keep them simple so you will remember them). You don't have to be a UCLA student or need a UCLA ID number to do this.
6. The printers will hold your jobs for nearly an hour to give you time to do your research.
7. Follow directions at the printer to insert your card, select your job, and enter the identifier and password, and print your items.
8. Click on "Logoff" to end your session and retrieve your card.
