Bioterrorism
Hotline information on emergency tactics for dealing with an anthrax

The Center for Biosecurity is an independent, nonprofit organization of the

on prevention and screening, clinical trials, diagnosis and
symptoms, and other discussions related to anthrax. The drug Cipro is
described as well as the use of doxycycline and penicillin G under the

Information: Biological and Chemical Weapons
Broader in scope in relation to bioterrorism than the anthrax site,
this MEDLINE page discusses biological warfare in general as well as
anthrax in particular. It offers news updates, overview information
on such topics as bioterrorism, chemical agents of warfare, and illnesses
that could result from biological warfare. The section headed "Specific
Conditions/Aspects" offers information about food safety, botulism and
bioterrorism, smallpox, pneumonic plague, and brucellosis, as well as
other related

Encyclopedia Americana Includes 45,000 articles, plus thousands of hypertext
links to web sites featuring additional data. It is updated quarterly.
Encyclopedia, Funk and Wagnalls New World Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
Science Full Text Select Coverage includes popular science magazines as well as professional journals. Also covers The New York Times Science Section. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.
CINAHL Plus with Full Text Provides complete coverage of the professional
literature in nursing, 14 allied health disciplines
and health sciences librarianship. In addition, there are
over 560 journals in full text.
Medline Search abstracts from over 4,600 biomedical journals
for information on medicine,
nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care
system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more.
