S. Department of Justice Violence Against Women Office The US Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women, including information, initiatives, publications and news. National Organization for Women General information and current news on the fight against domestic violence and related issues. National Coalition Against Domestic Violence NCADV describes "The Problem" of the battering of women through a set of significant questions such as "what is battering? why do men batter women? why do women stay?"; questions to which the organization propounds its answers on the website. United Nations "WomenWatch" The UN project "WomenWatch" is dedicated to using the technological resources of the Internet to keep tabs on and report about issues that affect women internationally. Encyclopedia, Funk and Wagnalls New World Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
