    A straightforward, well designed guide to current methods of birth control and contraception. Covers: abstinence, condoms-male, implants, lactational amenorrhea method, spermicides, what doesn't work, sexually transmitted diseases, cervical cap, diaphragm, injections, natural family planning, the sponge, safe sex, the sexual woman, condoms-female, emergency contraception, IUD, the pill, sterilization-female, and the sexual man.   • Not-2-Late.com: The Emergency Contraception Website 
    This site "is designed to provide accurate information about emergency contraception derived from the medical literature." Includes emergency contraception brands (morning after pills and the copper-T intrauterine device (IUD)) available in different countries, news, providers in the U.S. and parts of Canada, and a FAQ. Available in English, French, Arabic, and Spanish. From the Office of Population Research at Princeton University and the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals.

    This site provides information pertaining to laws, legislation, and opportunities to take action on issues such as abortion rights, availability of contraception, teenagers' rights, and female genital mutilation. Reports, fact sheets, and articles are available. The site is searchable, and portions of it are also available in French and Spanish.

  • Center for Reproductive Law and Policy 
    This site provides information pertaining to laws, legislation, and opportunities to take action on issues such as abortion rights, availability of contraception, and female genital mutilation. Reports, fact sheets, and articles are available; a free newsletter may be subscribed to. The site is searchable, and portions of it are also available in French, Russian, and Spanish.

  • Population Action International (PAI) 
    PAI promotes "policies and programs that slow world population growth" by expanding "voluntary family planning ... and educational and economic opportunities for girls and women." The Politics of Population Assistance section includes a Congressional directory, voting records on population issues, and tips for communicating with members of Congress. PAI studies and fact sheets (many available at the Web site) address topics ranging from U.S. funding for the United Nations Population Fund to women's reproductive health to the link between human overpopulation and the extinction of other species. Useful material for educators and population control advocates.

Health Source: Consumer Edition offers information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Has full text for nearly 300 journals.

Academic Search Premier, MasterFile Premier
Academic Search Premier and MasterFile Premier provide full text for over 6200 periodicals including full text for more than 3,500 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975.

Philosophy and Religion Collection
Covers such topics as epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy, world religions, biblical studies, religious history. Includes more than 300 full text journals.

National Newspapers (U.S.)
Searchable index for recent issues of the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and the Christian Science Monitor. Full-text for newer issues and citations for older materials. More information on coverage

Newspaper Source (Regional, National and International)
Provides selected full text for 25 national (U.S.) and international newspapers. The database also contains full text television & radio news transcripts, and selected full text for more than 200 regional (U.S.) newspapers.

Encyclopedia Americana
Includes 45,000 articles, plus thousands of hypertext links to web sites featuring additional data. It is updated quarterly.

Encyclopedia, Funk and Wagnalls New World
Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
Provides coverage of nearly 550 full text journals, covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.

Science Full Text Select
Coverage includes popular science magazines as well as professional journals. Also covers The New York Times Science Section. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.

Ethnic NewsWatch
News, culture and history from the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press -- English and Spanish language.

JSTOR
