Coroner's Report http://www.gangwar.com This searchable site provides an in-depth look at street gangs. It covers gang history, symbols, and characteristics, as well as information on prevention. Lots of links to other relevant sites are included. Criminal Justice Resources: Gangs http://www.lib.msu.edu/harris23/crimjust/gangs.htm A compilation of resources compiled by the Michigan State University Library. This web site focuses mostly on youth gangs. It contains links to many sites that deal with gangs. It also has links to dozens of articles and online publications that address gangs and gang-related issues. It is an excellent source, providing a good overview of gang information and issues. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) http://www.lapdonline.org Contains information on the hundreds of active gangs in the city of Los Angeles. To access this section of the site, choose FAQs>Quality of Life Issues>”What can I do about street gangs in my neighborhood?” An Urban Ethnography on Latino Street Gangs http://www.csun.edu/~hcchs006/gang.html Site was created by a professor from California State University Northridge, Dr. Francine Garcia-Hallcom. It contains information on gangs in the Los Angeles and Ventura counties, in particular Latino street Gangs. It offers a brief history of street gangs and discusses Taggers and gang graffiti.
