The site provides facts and information about gun laws, issues, gun violence research, state gun laws and alerts, and federal government and academic links. Federal and state gun legislation is also tracked. Jurist Legal Education Network: Gun Laws, Gun Control and Gun Rights In addition to the extensive research guide found on this legal education portal, a search on "gun control" finds more than thirty results from the "Jurist 5000," the Jurist's full-text database of the 5000 best webpages for legal education. Nationalissues.com This non-partisan research organization presents summary information on current issues and gathers available selected articles and research from leading think tanks, news sources, advocacy groups and individual policy analysts. National Rifle Association: NRA Institute for Legislative Action Regarding gun laws, the National Rifle Association seeks to protect the right of the people to keep and bear arms. On their research page, the NRA Institute for Legislative Action, the NRA lobby group, provides research on specific gun law issues such as "background checks" and ".50 caliber rifles" as well as fact sheets, FAQs, state and federal gun laws, a firearms glossary, articles, speeches, a bibliography, and other resources. Violence Policy Center The Violence Policy Center is a non-profit organization providing "research, analysis, and advocacy for effective gun policy." Fact sheet and directory links to topics on firearms violence, the firearms industry, pro-gun special interests, federal and state policy issues, product liability, women and firearms violence, youth and firearms, and elderly and firearms violence.
